LLB, Dip Family Law, Law Society Certificate in Healthcare Law, Partner.
I am a Clonakilty native but having been living in Clonmel since 2002.
I graduated from the University of Limerick with an LLB degree in 2001 which included German as a language and I moved to Clonmel and commenced my apprenticeship with Lynch Solicitors in 2002 and then qualified as a solicitor in December 2005 and I am now a Partner in the Firm and I manage Family Law and Litigation departments.
Litigation is a very important practice area of Lynch Solicitors. I manage the Lynch Solicitors Medical Negligence, Personal Injury Litigation and Product Liability departments. I represent Clients in the Circuit and High Court in Personal Injury Cases, including Road Traffic Accidents, Accidents at Work, Public Liability Claims and Occupier Liability Claims.
I also lead the Women's Medical Negligence Department at Lynch Solicitors and have successfully concluded many complex Medical Negligence actions in all areas of Clinical and Medical Negligence litigation. I have particular experience in dealing with cancer misdiagnosis cases, child birth injury cases and other gynecological injuries which have occured during procedures such as hysterectomies, oophorectomies and laparoscopic salpingectomies. As a mother of three young children I am keenly aware of the sensitive nature of Gynecological & Obstetric Injury Claims. I have a keen interest in seeking justice for these women and as a mother I am uniquely placed to understand and deal with such cases in a professional and sensitive manner.
I specialise in all areas of Family Law including Co-habitation & Separation Agreements, Judicial Separation, Divorce, Pensions, Recognition of Foreign Divorces and applications for annulment. I have also trained as a Collaborative Family Law Lawyer and I completed both the Law Society Certificate in Advanced Advocacy for Solicitors and the Law Society Family Law Diploma. In my spare time I lectured in Family Law at Waterford Institute of Technology.
