The Injuries Board state that they have significantly reduced the amount of time it takes to resolve a claim from three years to nine months, in most cases. Indeed the Irish Independent recently reported that “The average award was €21,502, while the highest was €697,495, and the majority were solved in seven months.” The Injuries Board website

The Irish Independent recently reported an increase in claims of 5% since last year and an increase of 25% since 2007. The Injuries Board revealed almost 29,000 people made a claim last year. First DePuy verdict returns with $8.3 million award to Patient in the United States

The first Johnson & Johnson DePuy hip implant lawsuit to go to trial has resulted in an $8.3 million jury award in the United States. The Los Angeles jury awarded the compensation to Loren “Bill” Kransky, a retired prison guard from Montana, after finding that the design of the ASR XL hip caused his injuries.
